Interlude: I'm thinking, i'm thinking
...about who to bestow the thoughtful blogger award to.
the award is meant to recognize bloggers who are welcoming, who respond to comments, who draw you back and make you feel like sitting and having a cup of tea with them.
if that's the case, then i need more than five to bestow. i only hang around blogs that do that.
but here are the five awards i'm giving:
to ann, whose blog was the first one i visited on a regular basis. not only does she make me feel like having a cup of tea with her, she once mailed me some tea from ireland.
to merry, who dips in and out of blogging but even in her brief time here makes us all feel her warmth and welcome.
to Kaycie, who seems to have a similar outlook on life as mine.
to purple worms, who is fun and chatty and interesting and arty and enthusiastic and also from minnesota. even though i sometimes wish she'd change the name of her blog because i really, really, really dislike worms.
and to the swampwitch, who just has such a generous soul.
congratulations to the winners. click the link at the top of the page to claim your award. the burden and privilege of scattering accolades around blogdom is now up to you.

Oh My Goodness! I have chilly bumps and it's not because it's cold here. Thank You so much. You have made my day. This award will be proudly displayed on my side bar as soon as my little computer guru helps me. I'm still not too good at adding things like that. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hurrumph!
"the award is meant to recognize bloggers who are welcoming, who respond to comments, who draw you back and make you feel like sitting and having a cup of tea with them"
I've never heard of anything more preposterous! I don't like people, why the hell would I want to engage them?
it was touch and go, willow. i almost gave it to you. but you hadn't disparaged the award quite enough.
Hi Laurie - thanks! What a lovely compliment to receive. I'm raising my cup of tea to you right now - to your good health :)
(It's particularly nice as I was feeling so stupid about the sitemeter business, hell sometimes I've left people's pages in the dock all day while I went off to do something else!)
Still, that's in the past and this is now. Thanks again, I'm honoured!
My first blog award! Thank you so much!! I am touched that you think we have a similar outlook on life. Your blog is so warm and genuine. I hope I come across that way, too. Thanks again, Laurie!
