Interlude: I'm touched!

wakeupandsmellthecoffee has honored me with the thoughtful blogger award. she said it's an award given to bloggers who respond to comments, who make readers feel at home, who make them want to come back and visit again. that's a nice thing to hear, and it's nice to think she--and maybe others--feel that way about my blog.

especially since i am acutely aware that i am in the middle of inflicting a difficult story on you all.
