On the sixth Fun Monday, I publicly humiliate myself

this week's fun monday is hosted by blue momma.
she would like us all to reveal the unfinished projects we have in our homes. what's more, she wants photographic proof of them.
yikes. where to begin? the unpainted basement entry way, the unsewn-on buttons, the unhemmed trousers, the spare bedroom that is lacking trim on one of the four walls? the messy drawers, the messy closets, the messy basement? the old packs of seeds that i meant to plant four summers ago? (guess i'm off the hook for that one until april.)
the letters from my nieces that i meant to answer weeks ago? the front door, which is peeling badly and needs to be replaced? (i don't think you can mend veneer, but i could be wrong. in any case it looks like hell.)
oh, wait, how about the part of the upstairs Blogging Room floor where a square of linoleum came up? i still have the square, somewhere. i do plan to glue it back down. eventually. it's only been like that for two and a half years.
anyway, for blue momma's pleasure, i have narrowed the photographic list to three.
uncarpeted basement steps. (i still don't know if boscoe will use them. he definitely won't until we get carpet down.)
untrained dog. well, semi-trained. half-trained. whatever.
books! unorganized books! this is just two shelves out of more than a dozen!
