Signs of spring

Puddles!
Extremely noisy sparrows
One very loudly singing cardinal
People without jackets
Bald men without hats
Squinting (in Tuesday's sunshine)
Raindrop-dodging (in Wednesday's shower)
Little muddy pawprints (all through our house)
A fast-dwindling snowpack, which reveals dogturds gardenhoses flowerpots plasticpopbottles deadleaves paperwrappers oldnewspapers
For-sale signs (including three in our little neighborhood--including, sadly, Yoko's house)
Open windows
Rosy sunrises and late sunsets
44 degrees on the bank thermometer
Francisco Liriano throwing off the mound
It's not here yet. But it's on its way. I'd say that ice-skating season is officially over.

Whoo!Hoo! So happy to see you've got some Signs of Spring, too! I'm so ready for spring, so you must REALLY be ready for SPRING!
Wow! That's wonderful. I felt a bit guilty enjoying beautiful weather while you froze.
it's supposed to be in the high 30s the rest of the week, with wet snow on sunday and monday.
we're a long way from anything green. but we're headed in the right direction.
Hope may spring eternal but it springs more easily in the springtime!
Yahoo! I know you've been yearning for all things spring. I'm glad you have been given hope.
I love your dogs! Okay.. send spring my way! I so have spring fever!
That sounds more like it, except for those unsightly things that the melting snow reveals, but at least it is melting and that is very good news.
You must get a medal for endurance. Our winter was nothing at all in comparison to yours. It was but a foul fall season with a dusty layer of snow for one or two days. I am not complaining!
Yay! Spring is here! Happy that cold is finally over (hopefully).
I am so hoping for signs of spring when I go over to the UK. I WANT (Please can I have) cherry blossom on the trees.
Love the puddle picture.

glad that really cold weather has passed. Here we've got rain rain and rain!
Hurrah!
And I've just learnt who Francisco Liriano is:-)
Y'all blow all that Canadian air down on us all winter; sure wish we could blow some of this gloriosity (I seem to be on a create-a-word jag) up your way.
I would not survive Minnesoooooota winters, but you probably wouldn't love Western Kentucky summers.
all the best-
Patience
Wish I could send you some of my blooming daffodils, Laurie. On the other hand, I wish we could have had just one good snow this winter instead of the slush, ice, and freezing rain that prevailed.
"little muddy pawprints...a fast dwindling snowpack, which reveals..."
That really said spring to me.
Spring, there is nothing like it! Hope is is there for good, soon.
