We saw Joe Mauer at the Twins game

He hit a solo home run in the first inning, scored three times, and caught the whole game.

He was also in the stands, sitting next to his wife, Mrs. Joe Mauer.

He brought along his baby, Joe Mauer Jr. Never too young to pick up some of the fine points of the game!

Look! There he is, trying to get out of the crush of the crowd after the game. He appears to be with his friend, little Joey Mauer.

After the game, we spotted him out on the plaza, wearing a pair of extremely fetching plaid shorts. I wonder what he needed the seat cushions for? I guess his butt gets tired when he's waiting for his turn to bat.

It's amazing how he gets around. He's everywhere you look, all at the same time. No wonder he's such a hometown hero.

And oh yeah, the Twins won the game, 7-6. It was quite fun.
