The pen or the broom?

Or, well, actually, the vacuum cleaner or the computer?
I took today as an ATO (accumulated time off) day from work so I can write. We have a friend coming in from out of town tonight.
I must write first, clean later! Because if I clean first, I usually don't get around to writing later.
So here it is, 6:33 a.m. And I am about to dive into writing....
Have a lovely weekend. We're not getting the six inches of snow they'd forecasted, and I'm a little bummed. But at least I won't be able to put off writing on account of shoveling.

Write! I woke very early today. Check out my early morning conversation with dead people.
Write! Be sure to wear your support socks...
Hope you've had a productive writing session!
We've been cleaning as well today. Felix' sisters are arriving tonight and tomorrow we're off to Donegal.
Will check in when I'm back.
I'm glad you've got this morning writing thing sorted- 'You' time. Hope the muse flows.
sod the cleaning.
You can clean when you're brain is fried. Unfortunately, it's hard to write that way.
Have a great, productive day.
Have a wonderfully productive day and a fun this weekend!
Today is my writing day Laurie, and I'm a blank.
I need to run around my computer 3 times obviously.
Good on ya.

By now you've probably finished writing and are cleaning, feeling quite smug and accomplished.
Have a great weekend!
9:30 still working.....
Good for you!
Well done for not shilly shallying with the cleaning first:-)
In Fifty years, a clean house won't matter..but your words will:)
well, it's going like this:
write
walk the dogs
write
strip the guest bed
write
put clean sheets on the guest bed
write
check the mail
write
vacuum
at this rate, it's going to take me fifty years before anyone sees my words, i'm afraid...
And we are getting that snow in Detroit. Three to six inches by morning.
Hey-your work schedule looks like mine. Knit, dust, knit a little more, vacuum, take a nap while knitting (dumb), do dishes. Knit some more, go save the world for 8 hours without sliding all over the place. I'm packing my knitting with me in case I have to sleep on the west side of town tonight.
Good for you! Mornings are my prime creative time too; cleaning, once started, never seems to be completed.
I'd be happy to send you a little of our snow, I've just about had enough...ciao
Your dilemma--to write or clean--reminds me of school days when I needed to study for an exam. I'd look at my toenails and decide that I must give myself a pedicure. A clean house probably won't inspire any good writing, but a few hours of good writing would help you realize that cleaning can be just "good enough." Good company doesn't care about dust bunnies, but the visiting. Reading through additional comments sounds like you're getting both done, in the right order!
