Dog news
Can you find the dog in this picture?
Aha!
Here she is in her eternal quest for food. Sadly, we had nothing to eat upstairs and she came back down again.
And now Abby Jo is gone back home. Whew. We didn't kill her, we didn't lose her, I only stepped on her once and no great harm seems to have ensued.
(She was quite indignant, and loudly gave me what-for.)
Lo and her husband showed up yesterday morning and took her away, and our house is quieter now. Riley is happier, I think; he gets a little stressed out when she's here--she's so domineering!--and toward the end of her tenure he started spending a lot of time upstairs, away from the commotion.
Meanwhile, we're reducing Boscoe's pain medication this week, and next Tuesday he'll go back to Dr. J for a recheck. He does not seem to be in pain, but he is quiet, and this morning I noticed he's not putting much weight on that front paw again--that front paw that started it all. (Or maybe he was just leaning against me in a typical dog-like fashion.)
So I worry we're not quite there yet. But you know me. I tend to worry. We have another week of healing to go. We'll see where we are next Tuesday.
