Bunnycam

A rabbit has taken to hanging out in our side yard. Riley doesn't know he's there because he stays hidden, behind the baptisia and peonies. But I know; I see him every time I come down the basement. He's huddled right next to the window.
He is a late riser, this rabbit. Awake but not going anywhere for hours in the morning, sniffing and scratching (like a dog, with his hind leg), and nibbling at the ground and sometimes just staring into space. I stood for a long time in the darkened basement, holding the laundry basket and watching him through the window. Once he turned and looked right at me.
Then I dashed upstairs. "I gotta take a video," I told Doug, who wanted to know why I was racing around this time. "Bunnycam! We can put it on the Web!"
I got back down the basement just as the rabbit was about to begin his day.
