And yes, it is still snowing
This is the view from my front stoop last night. This morning, there was another two or three inches, so back to the shovel I went. The driveway is the toughest--there's nowhere to put the snow, so I have to load up the shovel and then trot down the alley 10 or 15 feet to dump it. And then back again.
While I worked, the neighbor kids from across the alley came out and stood at their minivan, waiting for their mother, and stared at me. And stared.
What, like they've never seen a woman shoveling before? A woman wearing green and black Eddie Bauer pajama bottoms, a lilac-colored pullover fleece top, a burgundy faux-suede vest with a fleece lining, bright red mittens, and Ugg boots? And with bed hair exploding in a matted 'fro around her ruddy face? Huh? They've never seen that before? Sure they have. Every time it snows.
