What a cutie. We have a GSD & my spouse and I grew up in St. Paul. Enjoyed you book shelf post and yes we love Hillary Mantel ( and Sharon Kay Penman)....:)

She sure is turning into an elegant dog. She looks like she comes from a long line of royalty. xox

i'm about 1/4 of the way through the hilary mantel book, @troutbirder. it's very slow-moving and good.

Was beautiful, is beautiful and in five months time will be even more beautiful.

Oh, that baby look lasts such a short time, doesn't it? I wish they could keep that look without keeping some of the puppy behaviors. :)

She's a tall drink of a girl, is our Rosie. Love that you've caught similar poses. I get nostalgic for those puppy looks but not the behavior! Well done Rosie--and Laurie,Doug and Riley. As a friend said recently--it takes a village to raise a good dog.

that's for sure, Faye! rosie knows she has a huge internet group of friends who are watching her every move. she tries to live up to all of you. but this morning, when she was on her hind legs, straining against the leash and hopping for forward momentum to get at a chipmunk, she was not at her finest, i fear.

Omigoodness! What a difference five months makes. From cutie to beauty.

She is a beauty! I love how her face has matured. It sort of takes the sting out of no more puppy breath.

She's one of the most enigmatic, emotional & clingy dogs I've seen so far. Her eyes says a lot about her emotions. Her longing to be taken care of is very subtle yet visible at the screen. Looking forward to see her grow more. What a lucky pet owner!
